Happy New Year?!

At the AAF, we celebrate our new fiscal year by bringing in another outstanding roster of exceptional volunteer leadership across our grass roots network from Coast to Coast.  This new roster includes many great Advertising professionals with years of experience within their AAF Clubs & Chapters, AAF Districts, and our Collegiate Chapters and national network of Colleges & Universities too.

It’s a very exciting time for the AAF, as we welcome so many great supporters and leaders who help us deliver on our promise to be “The Unifying Voice For Advertising”, it’s also an important time to celebrate the work of all those who came before this new crew for their commitment and support of the AAF.  We hope they stay actively engaged and deeply involved in AAF activities and opportunities in their markets.

One way to do just that is by being a mentor.

Mentorship is critically important to the AAF and our members.

The AAF has launched a new AAF Mentorship Program designed to connect Club Members with AAF College Chapter Members, and we are saving a spot for YOU! This program provides structure and guidance for a three-month virtual mentorship relationship with a current student or recent graduate looking to get started in the advertising industry.

Your vast experience, respected wisdom, and deep insights will help them navigate getting their first job, what to expect in the office, how to work from home, and establish their career goals (all of which are incredibly important especially these days).

The AAF will provide a handbook and materials to help you guide the conversation and evaluate both your and your mentee’s strengths and goals.

The impact of giving back through a mentorship relationship is invaluable. 

I am committed to serving as a mentor in this program, spending time with the students and young people in advertising gives me so much hope that drives me to be better every day. They are the future of our industry and I am happy to help them in any way that I can.

I am really looking forward to this experience, and representing the AAF in this meaningful way.

We are still collecting applications for the September–November 2020 mentorship cycle. Fill out an application by August 15, 2020, to be considered as a mentor! Join me in helping develop the next generation of advertising leaders.
