Kevin Fullerton is an award-winning designer and creative director. During the past 30 years he has helped start companies, developed new brands and mentored creatives who are now well-respected in the advertising and design industries. In 2006, he made the ultimate leap when he opened Springboard Creative, dedicated to launching business brands.
He is strongly committed to both the advertising industry and his community. And the American Advertising Federation allows him to serve both. As chairman of the AAF Central Region, he serves on the AAF National Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, as well as the AAF Council of Governors. Before that, he served on the AAF District 9 Board of Governors, where he was responsible for bringing the Central Region Conference to the District. He continues to volunteer his time to District 9 (Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas).
Kevin is a past two-term President of both the AAF-Kansas City and the Art+Copy Club (AAF-KC’s special interest group for creative professionals). In 2011, he was selected as District 9 Co-President of the Year, while AAF-Kansas City was selected as Club of the Year.
For more than 15 years Kevin has volunteered his time, passion and energy in the service of AAF-KC with the focused goals of educating the Kansas City ad community and helping it receive the recognition he feels it deserves. He also bring that same energy to District 9 and the Central Region.
Kevin has always shown a passion for the American Advertising Awards. He attends every Kansas City AAA judging weekend and helped transform their entry and judging processes by creating “ADDY Bibles” that can be passed on and improved each year. Kevin also served for several years as the District 9 representative on the national American Advertising Awards committee and helped rework categories and rewrite the rules. He has judged local and district AAA competitions in 10 different markets, thanks to his reputation as a diligent, thoughtful judge.
Kevin is a former adjunct professor at the Kansas City Art Institute, advised the advertising campaigns class at Northwest Missouri State and is a frequent speaker, lecturer and judge. His most treasured honor was receiving the Distinguished Alumni Award from Northwest Missouri State University in 2011 and then delivering the commencement speech in 2012.
This past spring, Kevin was recognized as AAF-Kansas City’s Advertising Professional of the Year.
