In response to the widespread devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, many AAF ad clubs are raising funds and offering assistance, jobs and resources. Here are some ways that AAF members can assist in relief efforts:

  • Job Postings on the AAF Job Bank- To assist placing those professionals who are now without jobs, Boxwood Technology is graciously waiving all fees for AAF's Marketing Career Network job postings for 30 days in states around the Gulf Coast. Visit to post your job listing, then:
    • Go through the regular posting process
    • Select 30 day package
    • At payment screen, enter promotional code 'Katrina'
    • Job will recalculate to $0
  • Job Seekers - visit the AAF Job Bank at You can also post your resume, search for jobs and customize search agents at no charge.
  • AAF District 7 Blog- Designed by Pamela D. Hughes, president of the Orlando Advertising Federation, this blog can be found at The blog can serve as the primary communications device for the 7th District, their members, and the members nationwide that would like to help.
  • Fundraisers- The Ad Fed of Athens raised nearly $20,000 for hurricane relief by working with the Salvation Army to collect donations. Read more at
  • Donate Office Space and other needs to fellow AAF members displaced by the disaster. District 3 has opened up their office. The Austin Ad Fedhas as well, and is developing a Web page listing office space, computers, phones, and broadband available in the Austin area.
  • And of course, continue to donate to the Red Cross or other relief organizations.
