Advertising Industry Celebrates Multicultural Advancement

Diversity Achievement and Mosaic Awards Nomination Deadline June 18

Washington, D.C.—The American Advertising Federation (AAF) and District Two announced this week the 2007 Diversity Achievement and Mosaic Awards & Forum. The awards will be presented at the New York Athletic Club, September 26, 2007, as part of Advertising Week New York. The AAF is currently accepting Mosaic Award entries for campaigns and programs that demonstrate exceptional success advancing multiculturalism in advertising. Agencies, advertisers and media companies must submit entries by June 18, 2007.

This year's Mosaic Awards will feature a new category, Multiethnic Interactive Media. Other categories include Workforce Diversity, Employee Diversity, Multiethnic Ad Campaign, Multiethnic Media Usage, Multiethnic Supplier Partners and Student Diversity Programs. Mosaic Award entries are judged by a panel of senior-level advertising, marketing and communications industry professionals. Judges individually review all entries and the winner of each category is determined in the judges' caucus.

The AAF hosted its first Mosaic Awards & Forum program in 2001 to recognize successful multicultural marketing and diversity efforts. In 2004, the AAF and its District Two joined forces to present the Diversity Achievement and Mosaic Awards & Forum. District Two represents roughly 10 percent of AAF club membership and covers the regions of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Since the commencement of the partnership, the Diversity Achievement and Mosaic Awards & Forum have become Advertising Week New York's premier diversity and multicultural event.
