MPMS 2003
February 8–10, 2005
The New York Athletic Club
New York City

To facilitate greater corporate productivity and profit through diversity, the Most Promising Minority Students Program brought together leading advertisers, media companies and agencies with exceptionally talented multicultural candidates. This year, 40 of the country’s brightest minority students participated — a 25 percent increase over the previous years.

This year’s industry immersion component of the Most Promising Minority Students Program provided the students with a first-hand perspective on corporate environments and allowed recruiters to see the students in a professional setting. Participating companies this year were Ad Asia Communications, BBDO, ESPN ABC Sports, Johnson & Johnson, Lowe Worldwide, McCann-Erickson, Meredith Corporation, MTV Networks, Nielson Media Research and Verizon.

In addition, the Interpublic Group of Companies Inc. announced at the event that it is launching the Interpublic Fellows Program in cooperation with the AAF. The initiative marks the first time a company has committed to hiring and developing a group of graduating college seniors from the AAF’s pool of Most Promising Minority Students.
